Staff Update

We have a busy time at Home from Home with new staff members joining our growing team. Over the past few months, we’ve welcomed a new Operations Manager, Owen. Owen comes from the hotel industry so has a wealth of experience and he is excited to start his meaningful journey within the non-profit sector. Lisa has now been with us for three months as our Educational Support Program Manager and has already made significant inroads with the youth.

We also had a Finance Manager, Nabeweya, join the team part time. We’re incredibly grateful to have found such an experienced person to ensure that our financial record keeping is of the highest standards, so that we can be fully accountable to all of our donors.

Our social worker team also grew with the addition of Eilene who started in August. She is working closely with Valencia, who will be leaving in November, to take over supporting our Metro South homes. We are also excited to welcome our first male social worker, Joe, who will be joining us at the beginning of October. We’re looking forward to introducing him to our youth who will be delighted to have a male member join the Home from Home family.

We also recently welcomed Mafi to our support staff. So, if you visit or phone our office, it will be her friendly face and voice that you will encounter!
